A civil ceremony in a church
Mart’a and Míra are nature lovers, so we put our heads together with florist and brought a little piece of nature into the church in Vrchní Orlice (between Bartošovice and Neratov CZ).
The ceremony took place at noon, but of course we were on site from the morning. Everything had to be cleaned up (spider webs, dust, wiping benches…of bird poops — yes, that’s sometimes part of our job too), bring in all necessary things, set up the church, and decorate.
The little church is open to the public, so we greeted the first “guests” — turned out they were strangers who had actually just stopped by to have a look of the inside. We all had a good laugh, and when one of them saw Bára with her hands full and heard her comment that she still hadn’t managed to tie her shoelace, he knelt down and tied it for her.

A secret micro wedding
Our couple were led to the altar by their daughters. All in all, this secret micro wedding had just 12 guests — apart from the witnesses, it was therefore only their closest family members. The entrances were carefully timed to chosen songs that had a deep connection to their entire relationship.
The signing table came together five minutes to twelve. Because… the registry office. You agree on everything, clarify it several times — and then the registrar arrives and suddenly it’s different, because they had imagined it another way. No problem: they didn’t throw us off, and we handled the whole “unpleasantness” elegantly within a few minutes, so everyone started on time.
Well… they did catch us off guard once. When the registrar (whom the couple had arranged before they contacted us) began talking in her speech about a “bleeding heart,” and with her expressions made it clear to everyone that she didn’t really want to be there. It’s sad, but it happens at civil ceremonies too — which is exactly why we prefer symbolic or church ceremonies.
A toast during the ceremony
This time, we chose a toast for everyone. With so few guests, after the couple and the witnesses there wouldn’t have been many people left who wouldn’t be toasting. And these smiles stay with us all day — not only when we’re holding a glass of alcohol. Honestly!
First dance in the church
Absolutely magical. The newlyweds didn’t have a party or a reception, but as lovers of great music, they still dreamed of a slow dance. Right after the congratulations, we added it to the timeline as a surprise for the guests. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house!
In the end, we all gave them a little moment just for the two of them.
An original wedding favor
The little bouquets on the benches were purposely arranged so they could be easily untied after the ceremony and given to all the women present as a “take-home gift.” That way, each of them could take a small piece of the wedding home — and enjoy it for a few more days.
This secret micro wedding was beautiful and deeply moving. And we will never stop thanking the couple, now newlyweds, for the trust they had in us.

Jak se svatba povedla?
It was my second wedding, so I really had something to compare it to. From my first wedding, I barely remember anything — I was constantly checking whether everyone had everything, whether everyone was where they were supposed to be, and dealing with worries like that… and this time, thanks to the agency, all of that was off my shoulders.
The girls took care of absolutely everything we needed, and my future husband and I simply approved things from home at the computer — “yes to this, no to that.” Of course, I still had to go try on the dress at the bridal shop and choose the rings, but that’s not something any bride would want to miss out on anyway.
Everything else was basically handled “by itself.” The photographer, flowers, refreshments, witnesses, guests, rings… everything was exactly where it was meant to be. The evening before, right before bed, I received a lovely text wishing me a peaceful night’s sleep, and I knew I was in the right hands.
My wedding day wasn’t stressful at all — everything was taken care of. I just got out of bed in the morning and I was, as my daughter wrote here too, simply a princess. They dressed me, did my hair and makeup, supported me in front of the church with their magical smiles — and inside, my prince was already waiting for me, surrounded by the most beautiful floral decoration I’ve ever seen.
